WHY CHOOSE OMEGA LED
Omega LED uses targeted red, near-infrared and visible-light wavelengths to support healthier-looking skin. Its simple design makes it easier to follow a consistent at-home photobiomodulation routine.
01
Omega LED combines red and near-infrared light with additional visible-light modes for different skincare goals. These wavelengths are commonly used in cosmetic photobiomodulation routines to support firmer, smoother and healthier-looking skin.
Select the mode that fits your routine, then use it consistently over several weeks.
02
Consistency is an important part of any LED light therapy routine. Omega LED is designed for repeatable positioning and dependable coverage, helping you follow the same simple protocol from session to session.
03
Omega LED is a non-UV, non-invasive light therapy option designed for convenient at-home use. Sessions fit easily into a weekly skincare schedule without downtime.
A comfortable routine is easier to maintain—and consistency is what supports visible cosmetic results over time.
Your treatment experience
LED light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, delivers specific wavelengths of light to the skin. Use the protocols below to match a mode to your goal and stay consistent over several weeks.
Treatment focus
Fine lines, firmness and the appearance of skin texture.
Red light is commonly used to support collagen- and elastin-focused routines and the skin’s natural renewal cycle over time.
20 minutes
10 sessions for an initial series, followed by maintenance once per month or as needed.
Take weekly photos. Consistency performs better than longer, irregular sessions.
Treatment focus
The appearance of discoloration and uneven-looking skin tone.
Yellow and green modes are commonly used in cosmetic routines designed to support a more even-looking complexion and visible clarity with consistent use.
20 minutes
Use consistently over several weeks. Frequency varies according to visible discoloration, skin thickness and age.
Reassess every two to four weeks, avoid over-exfoliating on treatment days and support your routine with daily SPF.
Treatment focus
The appearance of uneven texture and visible scarring.
Red and purple modes are commonly used to support the skin’s recovery cycle and the appearance of smoother, softer texture over time.
20 minutes
Use consistently over multiple weeks and evaluate visible changes every two to four weeks.
Some scars may be more resistant to visible change, including raised scar-prone areas.
Treatment focus
Routine maintenance and overall skin appearance.
Yellow and purple modes are often used for consistent maintenance routines that support the appearance of balanced tone and texture.
20 minutes
Use two to four times weekly on an ongoing basis or as part of your regular weekly routine.
A steady schedule typically performs better than occasional longer sessions.
Treatment focus
Blemish-prone skin appearance and post-breakout recovery.
Blue light is commonly used in cosmetic routines to support clearer-looking skin, while red light is often used to support the appearance of calmness and recovery after blemishes.
30 minutes total
15 minutes blue + 15 minutes red
Use three to five times weekly for four to eight weeks, then adjust according to your routine.
Use on clean, dry skin and avoid heavy occlusive products immediately before sessions.
Consistency over intensity
Follow the protocol for your selected skin goal and assess visible changes under consistent conditions.
Begin gradually and follow the schedule recommended for your selected treatment goal.
Maintain a regular schedule rather than extending or combining sessions unnecessarily.
Reassess your skin and transition to the appropriate maintenance schedule when needed.
How to use your Omega
LED light therapy works best when sessions are consistent. Follow these three steps before each Omega LED session.
Prepare the skin
Wash and dry the treatment area. Avoid heavy oils immediately before your session.
Keep products minimal
Apply a light serum if desired, or use on clean, dry skin. Keep products minimal before treatment.
Select your mode
Power on, select a light mode, set the timer and complete your session. Repeat three to five times weekly for consistency.
EVIDENCE & EDITORIAL STANDARDS
Explore the research, safety guidance and editorial standards behind the Omega LED Light Therapy Guide.
Our guide references peer-reviewed clinical research examining red, near-infrared and blue LED light in cosmetic skin routines. Studies have evaluated outcomes such as the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, skin roughness, elasticity and blemish-related concerns. Research findings may not directly represent the exact Omega LED device, wavelength combination or treatment protocol.
Our safety and usage guidance is informed by dermatology resources and professional light-therapy organizations. Recommendations focus on non-UV LED use, realistic cosmetic expectations, consistent sessions and precautions for people with photosensitivity, medical skin conditions or photosensitizing medications.
Omega LED guide content is written for cosmetic education and reviewed against available scientific evidence, product documentation and current safety guidance. We avoid disease-treatment claims, distinguish research findings from product-specific results, use clear source links and update the guide when product specifications, safety recommendations or supporting evidence change.

EXPERT GUIDANCE
Clear answers on the Omega LED device, understanding light wavelengths, and building a consistent at-home routine.
Omega LED is designed to support cosmetic skincare routines focused on the appearance of fine lines, uneven tone, dullness, rough texture, blemish-prone skin and visible signs of photoaging. Its red, near-infrared and visible-light modes allow you to choose a routine based on your individual skincare goals.
For most routines, use Omega LED for approximately 10–20 minutes per session, three to five times per week, following the instructions in the user manual.
Consistency is more important than using longer sessions. Avoid exceeding the recommended treatment time, and allow your skin to adjust gradually if you are new to LED light therapy.
If you are unsure where to begin, start with the Red light mode. Red light is commonly used in cosmetic routines focused on firmer-looking, smoother and healthier-looking skin, while near-infrared light is commonly included for deeper light delivery.
You can choose another mode based on your skincare goal, such as blue light for blemish-focused routines or yellow and green light for uneven-looking tone. Always follow the recommended settings in the Omega user manual.
Omega LED is designed as a non-UV, non-invasive light therapy device and may be suitable for many skin types. However, individual sensitivity can vary.
Do not use LED light therapy without professional guidance if you have a light-sensitive medical condition, take photosensitizing medication, or have recently undergone a photosensitizing treatment. Avoid staring directly into the LEDs, follow the user manual and stop use if you experience discomfort or irritation.
Omega LED should normally be used on clean, dry skin, with skincare products applied after the session. Remove makeup, sunscreen, heavy oils and thick creams before treatment so the light can reach the skin directly and the session remains comfortable.
The exception is the O’Melon Omega Returning Core Sheet Mask, which is specifically designed to be used with the Omega LED device. If using the sheet mask, follow its directions and place it on clean skin before your Omega LED session.
After treatment, apply your usual gentle skincare products, such as a hydrating serum or moisturizer. Avoid applying potentially irritating or photosensitizing products before treatment unless specifically instructed by a qualified professional.
Results vary depending on your skin, selected light mode, treatment consistency and skincare routine. Some people notice changes in skin comfort or overall radiance first, while visible improvements in tone, texture and firmness may take several weeks of consistent use.
For a more reliable comparison, take photos in the same lighting and at the same time of day. Do not judge results after only one or two sessions.
